Research of Shipborne Radar Calibration Technology Based on Tianping-1 Satellite

Shipborne radar needs calibration to test its precision before tracking mission, in which axial error parameters determination is an important component. In calibration process, Tianping-1 satellite is tracked a few arcs by radar using the same operation mode. The axial error parameters of radar are calculated based on the corresponding Tianping-1 orbit determination products, in which the obtained parameter result can be optimized by genetic algorithm. Availability of the method has been verified with the real data of integrated calibration test for the space tracking ship on the sea, in which the axial error parameters are obtained firstly according to the calibration satellite. Using the new parameters, the angle-measuring accuracy is improved obviously.
