Model-Based Fault Diagnosis Method for Civil Aircraft Flight Control System

Lack of integration and difficulty in achieving fast iterative optimization are the two major issues for civil aircraft fault diagnosis. To solve this problem, a Fault Diagnosis (FD) method based on Fault Propagation Model (FPM) is proposed. Firstly, an architecture model based on Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) is established to describe the fault diagnosis objects of civil aircraft flight control system. Based on this model, fault propagation paths and faults detection design are introduced to realize the fault diagnosis. The results show that model-based fault diagnosis method can effectively support the assessment of the rationality of system test design layout, identify design weaknesses, and achieve iteration of fault diagnosis scheme.
