Simulation on Gear Retraction Braking Function of Aircraft Brake System

The gear retraction braking is an important function of aircraft brake system due to the aircraft safety. This paper utilizes Simulink/MATLAB software to simulate the control logic for gear retraction braking of aircraft brake system, and introduce two control strategies to implement the gear retraction braking: open-loop control strategy and closed-loop control strategy, and also study on 2 key factors contribute to the performance of the gear retraction braking: command pressure and application time, in order to avoid the vibration caused by gear retraction barking, dynamics analyses of the brake system was carried out by using ANSYS. Two types of vibration induced by braking action: squeal vibration and chatter vibration was studied using the finite element method.
