Performance Analysis of Active-Quasi Z-Source Inverter fed Induction Motor Using SVM

This research proposes a novel method to govern a single-stage active-quasi Z source (qZS) inverter-fed induction motor drive by integrating proportional-integral (PI), sliding mode control (SMC) techniques with the Space Vector Modulation (SVM) technology. The active qZS inverter, with its inherent voltage buck-boost capability and enhanced reliability, is a promising topology for renewable energy integration and electric vehicle applications. The SVM technique are employed to produce switching signals for the inverter switches, ensuring optimal utilization of the available voltage levels and minimizing harmonic distortion. The PI controller is utilized for speed regulation to achieve robust and stable motor performance under varying load conditions. Additionally, a sliding mode controller is implemented to enhance the system's robustness against parameter variations, disturbances, and uncertainties. The suggested control strategy is validated by means of extensive simulation investigation. The results determines the improved dynamic response, enhanced efficiency, and robust performance of the single-stage cascaded qZS inverter-fed induction motor drive compared to traditional control methods. The effectiveness of the proposed approach highlights its potential for real-world applications in renewable energy systems and electric vehicles.
