Design of BootLoader Software for Civil Aircraft Utility System Controller Based on ARM

This article explores into the significance of utility system controllers in contemporary civil aircraft, highlighting the evolution of their software systems, particularly the pivotal role of BootLoader software. The BootLoader is essential for system booting, application software loading, firmware upgrades, and fault information retrieval. By investigating the ARM Cortex-M7 architecture, we have developed a robust and comprehensive BootLoader software designed to enhance the reliability and safety of aircraft systems. The study introduces strategies to ensure software data integrity, such as CRC checks and pointer validation, thereby bolstering software security. Furthermore, we propose a controller maintenance system and an instruction monitoring state machine to guarantee that the controller accurately executes commands from the host computer. Ultimately, this research aims to provide enhanced assurance for the flight safety and performance of civil aircraft.
