Research on the Modeling and Applications of Digital Mock-Up for Civil Aircraft

The design of large civil aircraft is complex, and the development process generates vast amounts of data. Advanced digital modeling and simulation analysis methods are crucial for improving aircraft development efficiency and reducing design costs. Addressing the full lifecycle application scenarios of civil aircraft design, manufacturing, flight testing, and operation, this paper define four types of 3D digital mock-ups: design mock-up, manufacturing mock-up, flight test mock-up, and customer service mock-up. This leads to a set of forward modeling methods for digital mock-ups tailored to specific business requirements. Emphasizing the requirements for digital mock-ups during the design phase, we propose five types of digital mock-up engineering application methods and validate the engineering value of digital verification with specific cases, providing a reference for the development of digital mock-ups for civil aircraft.
