A Broadband Active Vibration Control Algorithm Based on Sensitivity Weighted and Filter Cascade

The broadband random force spectra widely occur in machinery. The effective control of the low-frequency broadband vibrations is vital for the working reliability of mechanical equipment. The paper proposed a broadband active vibration control algorithm for attenuating the vibration transmission of the mechanical system subjected to random excitation. The augmented control model is established using the H-infinite mixed sensitivity method, and the multi-peak bandpass filter is designed further to suppress the vibration transmission of system natural frequencies. A propeller shafting system is built to simulate the performance of the broadband vibration control algorithm. The numerical simulation results show that the proposed active vibration control method is effective for rejecting the broadband spectral vibration of the propulsion shafting system.
