Study on Aeronautical Matching of Propeller and Engine Based on Hybrid Dimension Simulation Method

Aiming at the highly coupled phenomenon of the propeller and the engine in the working conditions, taking a turboprop engine as the research object, the research on the integration of the propeller and the engine was carried out based on the hybrid dimension simulation method, and the result was compared with the calculation results of the conventional three-dimension simulation method. The results show that the hybrid dimension simulation method is basically consistent with the conventional three-dimension simulation method in terms of the calculation results of the propeller performance parameters, and its advantage lies in that it can better capture the changes of the outlet section parameters of the intake. Under the same conditions, the change trend of the outlet flow rate of the intake is consistent with the change trend of the power absorbed by the propeller, and the DC60 of the intake outlet section is negatively correlated with the outlet flow rate of the intake. The DC60 of the intake outlet section is affected by the propeller slipstream and the suction of the engine; due to the iterative calculation of parameters at the interface, the hybrid dimension simulation method can obtain calculation results that can better reflect the aerodynamic interference phenomenon of propeller and engine than the conventional three-dimension simulation method.
