RMS Calculation Model for Variable Frequency AC and FPGA Implementation

With the rapid development of power electronics and communication technology, the RMS (Root Mean Square) value calculation of Variable Frequency AC (VFAC) has become particularly important. This article proposes a method for building an RMS calculation model based on Simulink, and successfully implements FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). By deeply analyzing the RMS value calculation formula and combining with Simulink modular modeling characteristics, we have constructed a discrete, convertible, and resource optimized RMS calculation model. The model not only improves computational accuracy and efficiency, but also provides great convenience for subsequent FPGA modelling implementation, especially showing unique advantages in handling variable frequency AC power.
