Assessing Impact of Intelligent Exchange (iX) on Global ICT Electricity Use & CO2; 2025-2030

A 32% reduction in global Information and Communication Technology (ICT) energy is revealed when gradually introducing products that use a new intelligent Exchange (iX) architecture. An analysis of the potential of replacing traditional network switches and optimized compute designs across six key ICT categories illustrates compelling energy savings, as well as significant CO2 reduction potential. Applied to energy expectations between 2025 to 2030, findings highlight the potential for a sustainable ICT sector and greener technological future.
