Exploring the overall development direction of China's higher education based on machine learning

In machine learning, linear programming algorithm is a powerful tool for solving optimization problems by finding the maximum or minimum value of the objective while satisfying a series of linear constraints, thereby optimizing resource allocation and decision-making processes. Linear programming algorithms play a crucial role in model training, feature selection, and parameter tuning, helping to improve the performance and accuracy of machine learning models and providing strong support for practical applications. This article uses the linear programming algorithm in machine learning to explore the development trend of the total scale of various types of higher education in China. In the research process, two independent methods were used to calculate the slope to ensure that the results obtained are not accidental. Given that both methods yielded the same results, it is judged that this result is reliable and has practical value. Based on the obtained linear programming algorithm model for analysis, it is determined that the total scale of various types of higher education in China will continue to show an upward trend. This finding can provide valuable reference for decision-makers.
