Techno-Economic Investigation of Solar Power Plants on Road Dividers in Bangladesh

Reliance on fossil fuels for electricity generation has become increasingly costly for countries like Bangladesh, which are heavily dependent on imported fossil fuels. This investigation explores the feasibility of installing grid-connected solar power plants on road dividers in Bangladesh. The proposed model utilizes PVsyst software for simulation and demonstrates that solar power systems can be deployed on two road dividers in Rajshahi, with a total length of approximately 14 km. This system can generate over $18,000 \mathrm{MWh}$ of electricity annually, resulting in savings of more than 1.8 million USD each year.
