Arduino Plant Watering System Using IoT Components

People who stay out of their homes for long hours do not get time to water plants. Due to the increasing pollution, the plants might wilt sooner than expected if ignored for a longer period. The plants then start wilting and eventually die. It is almost impossible to restore the plants which start dying and they require much more care than previously given. Watering the plants also depends on the sunlight, season, moisture of the soil, etc. The watering of plants must be measured appropriately at the appropriate intervals of time. The main objective of the proposed system is to state the significance of proper water irrigation and suggest a system that can encounter irrigation issues. This research proposal endeavors to explore the development of an IoT-based automatic plant watering system, focusing on its design, implementation, and potential impact on sustainable agriculture. By harnessing IoT technology, this system seeks to enhance water efficiency, mitigate resource wastage, and optimize plant growth, thereby contributing to the advancement of modern agricultural practices.
