A Systematic Design of a Youth-Oriented Blood Glucose Health Management Product Based on Addiction Theory

This study is based on the in-depth exploration and application of the HOOKED model's behavioral influencing mechanism of triggers, behavioral incentives, reward systems, and participation, which is used as a framework to deepen the use of persuasion strategies in product design. By analyzing the attitudes and behavioral characteristics of the target user groups towards blood glucose management, combined with the analysis of similar products in the market, we look for the opportunity points for design innovation and formulate a targeted persuasion program accordingly. Combining theoretical research and practical research, a behavioral influence framework based on the HOOKED model is proposed to encourage users to take positive actions at different behavioral stages through specific design strategies and persuasive programs. This study's design practice and research results demonstrate the effectiveness of persuasive design in promoting blood glucose health management among young people, which is a new attempt to explore new methods in the field of product design.
