Modeling and Performance Analysis of a PLC-Based PI Controller for Voltage Regulation in an RC Circuit Using Scilab Xcos

The aim of the study is to model an analog Input-Output (I/O) card for a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The research examines how the tuned parameters of closed-loop control affect the replacement of Input-Output cards. The modeling was conducted in the Scilab Xcos development environment. The results provide valuable insights into the replacement or upgrading of analog modules and the potential challenges that may arise during this process, with a particular focus on hardware upgrades and program migration procedures. This approach contributes to the seamless transition of process control and industrial automation systems, as well as the optimization of control performance.
