Electropulsing Treatment Technology: From Damage Repair to Lifetime Prolong for Long-Service-Cycle Machinery

Conventional mechanical repair technology exhibit inherent limitations in the long-service-cycle equipment such as marine power systems and aerospace components, characterized by insufficient repair precision, material property degradation, and high shutdown cost. Electropulsing Treatment (EPT) achieves controlled repair of micro-damage by both compressive stress (from localized Joule heating) and dislocation motion (activated by electron wind forces). The experiment in laboratory validate its effectiveness in fatigue crack healing. The industrial case shows that the technology can restore 95% of the performance of failed equipment and prolong the life of key components by more than 20 %. These researches position the technology as an advanced approach for prolonging industrial equipment service lifetimes.
