A Study of the Mechanisms Influencing Payment for the Use of AI Face Recognition Technology in a College Student Population

The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology helps the sustainable development of society and economy. As a group of college students who are at the forefront of the acceptance and application of new AI technologies, the issue of the influencing factors and mechanisms of their acceptance and use of AI face recognition technology for payment is worth exploring in depth. Based on the in-depth interview data of 16 college students who have used AI face recognition technology to make payments, this study utilized the rooted theory method to conduct open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, so as to identify the key influencing factors affecting college students' use of AI face recognition technology to make payments (comprehensive efficacy of the payment technology, clustering of information security risks, application cognition and psychological preference, social and economic) The relationship between these factors was analyzed, and a model of the influence mechanism of college students' use of AI face recognition technology for payment was constructed. Based on this model, under the perspective of sustainable development, this study proposes the potential risks of using AI face recognition payment in universities at this stage and the corresponding countermeasures. This study has both theoretical and practical value and helps to promote the sustainable development of AI face recognition technology.
