Leveraging Data Analytics for Gender Equality in the Bangladesh Job Market

In Bangladesh, the number of new employment seekers increases by 2.2 million annually, making gender equity a critical issue in the country’s evolving economy. By 2024, projected GDP growth is expected to reach 65%, with at least 41.2% of the workforce employed in the services sector. This research focuses on analyzing a substantial volume of data to assess gender distribution across various job sectors, determine the capability of different demographics, and identify which sectors have the highest involvement of men and women. The findings aim to assist policymakers and stakeholders in implementing data-driven initiatives to promote equal job opportunities for all citizens. This paper contributes to ongoing research by leveraging data analytics to address gender disparities in developing economies focusing on Bangladesh.
