Clutch Structure Design and Automatic Control of Front and Rear Dual-Motor Driven Pure Electric Vehicles

Due to the development and widespread application of pure electric vehicles, the structural design and control technology of their automatic clutches becomes an important direction in the automotive market. The study conducts structural analysis on the normal transmission system, proposes control design for the automatic clutch, and uses the clutch engagement force process for control optimization. In the mathematical model and mechanical calculation of the brushless DC motor, the force analysis of the camshaft and other equipment during the engagement and disengagement operations is conducted. Through experimental testing, it is found that the target speed of the drive motor is reduced by about 13% after optimization control, indicating the feasibility of its engagement control. During the vehicle validation, when the driving time is 285s, the motor’s rotational speed is 7900rpm. During the 280-second driving time, the car’s torque value reaches 174 Nm. Combined with experimental bench testing, it can be proven that the automatic clutch control technology proposed in the study is reliable and provides advanced technology for the future development of automatic clutches in the automotive field.
