Research on Mathematical Modeling, PID Tuning and Simulation Based on Variable Structure High-Voltage Power Supply

This paper introduces the mathematical modeling(MM), analysis and reasoning of a variable structure high-voltage power supply device, and the reasoning results are verified by simulation. This variable structure high-voltage power supply device realizes high-voltage output based on the cascading of PSM (Phase Shifted Modulation) modules. Each cascaded module can control the on-off of IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) through optical fiber communication. Common PID tuning methods include the response curve method, the Ziegler-Nichols (Z-N) tuning method, the Cohen-Coon (C-C) tuning method and the mathematical modeling solution method, etc. In this paper, the circuit network is completely analyzed through the mathematical modeling solution method, which lays a foundation for proposing new control strategies on this power supply topology in the future. Meanwhile, the obtained PID tuning results guide the construction of the simulation network based on MATLAB SIMULINK, further verifying the effectiveness of this theoretical analysis.
