Research on the Suppression of Crossing Power in Continuous Traction Power Supply System of Electrified Railway

To eliminate the impact of crossing power in the traction power supply system(TPSS) and improve the economic operation of the continuous power supply system, this paper proposes a new method for suppressing crossing power. First, the influencing factors and magnitude of equalizing current (crossing power) in the TPSS were studied across different external power supply modes, and the generation mechanism of crossing power was analyzed. Next, voltage phase and amplitude compensation strategies were developed based on the principles underlying crossing power generation. Finally, the validity and effectiveness of the proposed scheme were verified through simulation. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach can effectively reduce crossing power, ensure that the power flow returning to the power system meets grid requirements, minimize the impact on the external power grid, and enhance the economic performance of the system.
