Synchronization of Impulsive Control Systems: A Round-Robin Protocol Approach

This letter investigates the synchronization of impulsive control systems under Round-Robin (RR) communication constraints. The RR protocol, widely used in networked control systems, introduces scheduling-induced switching dynamics that complicate synchronization analysis. To address this challenge, we propose a novel Lyapunov-type theorem that simplifies synchronization verification and reveals the intrinsic relationship between system parameters and performance. Furthermore, an impulsive control strategy is designed to enhance synchronization while reducing communication overhead, distinguishing it from traditional continuous feedback methods. By integrating impulsive control with the RR protocol, network congestion is alleviated, ensuring robust system performance under limited communication resources. The proposed theoretical framework is applied to the impulsive synchronization control of Chua’s circuit, with numerical simulations validating its effectiveness.
