Constructing a Competency Model for Engineering Educators in the New Era: Integrating Foundational Theories and AI-Driven Pedagogical Innovations

Engineering education is undergoing a profound transformation due to rapid technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), and the increasingly complex global challenges. To meet these demands, this paper presents a comprehensive competency model for engineering educators in the modern era. The model synthesizes insights from five established competency frameworks, while also addressing the growing role of AI.
