Determinants influencing the resilience of SMEs in Vietnam Post-Covid-19

Amidst the unprecedented disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual communication and other factors affecting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) resilience has emerged as a critical focus. This study delves into this intricate interplay by investigating virtual communication's influence and other factors that bolstered business resilience in the Vietnamese context during the pandemic. Through a quantitative research approach and employing the deduction method as a theoretical framework, this research examines key factors such as virtual communication, organization redesign, supply chain management, and flexibility. A sample size of 100 respondents was collected through Google Forms, and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique was applied for hypothesis testing using SmartPLS. With R square = 0.870 and Cronbach’s alpha = 0.673, the result shows that the research model is reliable and can be applied to many other organizations. The findings underscore the substantial impact of virtual communication, organization redesign, supply chain management, and flexibility. By shedding light on these intricate relationships, this research advances the understanding of how virtual communication and other factors affect business resilience. The insights garnered from this study offer valuable implications for policymakers, businesses, and researchers, enabling them to navigate the evolving landscape of challenges with greater understanding and strategic foresight.
