The Application of AI in Automatic Drug Dispensers: Enhancing Efficiency and Safety in Healthcare

The automatic drug dispenser is an emerging AI-driven healthcare solution aimed at improving medication management. Artificial intelligence has brought forth a novel interface between home and hospital; thus, the overall drug dispensing will not be left out in the renascence ushered in by artificial intelligence. Hence, this research investigates the design and implementation of an AI drug dispensing system with an integrated purpose of improving patient safety, curtailing medication errors, and enhancing overall efficiency within pharmacy settings. Combining powerful machine-learning algorithms, the system is capable of identification of the patients, prescription verification, and dispensing drug items correctly, while the other features provided include sophisticated inventory-tracking systems, adherence-tracking systems, and linkage with electronic health records. The rigorous testing and evaluation of the system yielded positive results in terms of medication accuracy, shorter waiting times, and higher patient satisfaction. In the light of such findings, this research would prove to go a long way in ushering the much-talked-about transformation in drug dispensing and ultimately potently feeding into a safer and more effective healthcare system any stakeholders group members contributing to a safer and more effective healthcare environment.
