Design of a two element microstrip antenna with improved bandwidth for wireless applications

The growing need for advanced medical imaging, patient monitoring, and telemedicine systems has driven demand for high performance antennas in medical applications. These applications require antennas that operate over a wide frequency range, ensuring high data transfer speeds, reliable communication, low power consumption, and minimal electromagnetic exposure to the human body. However, traditional antennas often struggle to meet these requirements due to limitations in bandwidth, efficiency, and specific absorption rate (SAR). To address these challenges, this study presents the design and development of a two element microstrip antenna aimed at enhancing bandwidth for medical applications. The primary objective is to improve performance by increasing bandwidth and efficiency while reducing radiation unnecessary to the equipment area to ensure a safe medical environment. The proposed antenna, designed for applications such as wireless health monitoring, and medical telemetry, utilizes a microstrip configuration to enhance directional gain and bandwidth.
