Electromagnetic Field Analysis based on High-order Statistics

Electromagnetic field is a weak characteristic signal of moving ships in seawater, which is easily masked by noise and has good line spectrum. The ocean environment electric field, as background noise, has good Gaussian properties. In order to extract weak electromagnetic field signals in complex sea conditions, a method based on high-order cumulants for ship electromagnetic field signals is proposed. The method proposed in this article was tested using actual measurement data, and the results showed that the method can effectively detect ship electromagnetic field signals under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions.
