Research on Inertia Estimation of New Energy Power System Based on Parameter Identification

Accurate inertia estimation is the premise of evaluating the frequency security and stability of power system. In this paper, an inertia estimation method for new energy power system based on parameter identification is proposed. Firstly, the expression of equivalent inertia time constant of new energy power system is analyzed. Then, taking the region as the research object, the principle of inertia estimation is clarified. Then, based on the active-frequency data, the identification process of the controlled autoregressive model and the recursive least squares algorithm with forgetting factor is introduced in detail. Finally, the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed method under large / small disturbances are verified by the improved IEEE 39 system.
