Energy Efficient and Environmental Friendly Electric Power Tilling Machine for Small Scale Farmers

This paper presents the design of an electric power tilling machine for agriculture by using electric vehicle technology, especially for small-scale farmers, in order to dig the land for planting vegetables like radishes, beans, and tomatoes. The aim is to reduce the operating cost for farmers and reduce the environmental pollution caused by the existing fuel-operated tillers. MS angles are used for body fabrication. A BLDC motor is used to drive the wheels of the tilling machine, and the motor is coupled to the gearbox in order to reduce speed and to get more torque to dig the land. The motor is controlled by a BLDC controller, and the throttle is connected to the controller, and the gel battery is used to give supply to the motor. Additionally, a pesticide sprayer and GPS tracker have been installed, and a smart key is used to turn on and off the electric tiller. The main advantage of this tilling machine is that, even though the aged people and women workers can also operate it, our hardware weight is too low compared to IC engine tillers.
