Exploring the Effectiveness of OpenCV in Face Recognition for Student Attendance

Automatic face recognition (AFR) technology has made great progress in science and technology. The project's goal is to develop a facial recognition attendance system for schools in order to improve and enhance the current attendance system. The current legacy system is experiencing considerable confusion, leading to inaccurate onboarding and poor performance. Facial recognition is a process that uses biometric facial recognition based on information technology, such as high-speed video surveillance, to perform facial recognition on students while they are participating. In our project, the computer may be capable of detecting and recognizing faces in images or films captured by community cameras or video display systems. Here, a facial recognition algorithm will be used to identify the face. The finished image is then compared to existing data, and the accession is marked as in the data. The human face is the most unique feature used to identify a person. Therefore, it is used to keep track of characters as there is less chance of different faces or repeats.
