State-of-the-Art Load-Pull Simulation Methods for Next-Generation Power Amplifier Design

Load-pull simulations are crucial in RF and microwave engineering for assessing power amplifier performance. This paper presents advanced test benches for load-pull setups, leveraging Keysight ADS to obtain more efficient and comprehensive data. We introduce an enhanced version of the traditional method with an improved gain compression simulation controller. Additionally, we propose a novel vector network analyzer (VNA)inspired load-pull test bench. This test bench not only provides detailed information about the device under test (DUT) but also serves as a digital twin for VNA-based load-pull measurement setups.
