Monitoring Intelligence Resource Architecture: Internet of Things Concept and Design Based-on Edge Nodes

Plant cultivation significantly depends on resources like energy in greenhouses. Sensor nodes function as the principal instrument for collecting environmental data, facilitating this process. By tackling substantial long-term issues, such as data transmission methods, we may efficiently regulate continuous data via energy optimization. The sensor cluster functions with a single edge node, comprising a temperature sensor, humidity sensor, light intensity sensor, and CO2 gas sensor, each linked to a microprocessor and utilizing RF communication technology for data transmission. The objective is optimized energy consumption and automated decision-making strategies based on environmental factors can assist farmers in minimizing resource demands in agricultural production. The architecture of the monitoring and control system at the physical layer comprises sensors, edge nodes, and actuators. The results of this study indicate that energy savings using fuzzy logic can save up to 70% of power, but in subsequent studies, it will be improved with the architecture of edge nodes and multi-layer data fusion.
