Voltage-Noise-Tolerated Model-Free Predictive Control for LC-Filtered Voltage Source Inverters

Parameter mismatch in LC-filtered voltage source inverters (VSIs) can affect the capacitor voltage performance under conventional model predictive control with optimal switching sequence (MPC-OSS), including prediction error and total harmonic distortions (THDs). To improve the parameter robustness of the conventional MPC-OSS, this article proposes a voltage-noise-tolerated model-free predictive control with OSS (VNT-MFPC-OSS) strategy for LC-filtered VSIs, where the proposed VNT-MFPC-OSS not only establishes and updates the data model of LC-filtered VSIs but also suppresses the effect of voltage noise in the VSI by using the noise tolerance coefficient. The proposed VNT-MFPC-OSS effectively eliminates parametric effect on conventional MPC-OSS and suppresses voltage noise effect on MFPC with OSS (MFPC-OSS). The experimental prototype of LC-filtered VSIs is built to validate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed VNT-MFPC-OSS.
