Design of a Modular Enclosed Chamber for use in 3D Printing

The aim of the paper was to design an enclosed chamber that would provide a stable and controlled environment for the 3D printing process. The practical part involved the design of the enclosed chamber using the PTC Creo Parametric software, which allowed for accurate modelling and optimisation of the components. Furthermore, the components were fabricated using additive manufacturing, specifically FDM printing, and assembled into a functional assembly. This design addressed the need to minimize the impact of external influences, such as temperature and humidity, which can negatively affect 3D printing results. The final design meets all specified functional requirements. The modular design provides flexibility and adaptability for a variety of printer sizes, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It has a positive impact on the working environment around the 3D printer, as the process can emit particles that affect air quality. The enclosure helps to reduce these emissions and increases safety during the work. Testing has confirmed that the chamber creates a stable environment, leading to improved print quality.
