Battery performance tester for lithium-ion technology with Arduino Uno & MCP

This paper mainly focuses on challenges to assess the satisfactory performance of lithium-ion (Li-ion) cells, which are generally utilized in big battery packs, include the ones in electric powered automobiles and energy storage structures. Due to the extensive availability of Li-ion cells from numerous sellers, distinguishing between new, healthful cells and older, mislabelled ones can be challenging. These used cells frequently degrade faster and lose their potential to perform. Therefore, it is crucial to assess the health of these cells with the aid of evaluating their rated cutting-edge capacity with their actual capacity to decide their actual battery performance on real-time commercial applications. A prototype model has been developed using Arduino and its interfaces with MCP73831, which has wide range of application in small portable devices because of its miniature size and strong battery management capacity.
