An Indirect Current Vector Controlled 3-level VSC fed Induction Motor Driven EV under Extra Urban Driving Cycle

In this paper, an experimental setup of 3-phase voltage source converters (VSCs) fed induction motor (IM) drive and MATLAB Simulink real-time interface (RTI) model of indirect current vector control (ICVC) scheme is presented. The presented ICVC scheme for VSC fed IM drive is validated through dSPACE CLP1104 real-time controller. In view of electric vehicle (EV) application, the ICVC based IM drive is tested on the extra urban driving cycle (EUDC). The EUDC performance of IM drive is presented through the recorded results on digital storage oscilloscope.
