A Paper Ontraffic Control Systemsusing IoT

This article presents an advanced method for traffic management based on the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology to reduce congestion and make it quicker for emergency vehicles to proceed. An RF transmitter and receiver are used by the device for recognizing approaching cars. They are placed strategically on emergency vehicles and traffic lights. The associated traffic light turns on when it detects the signal. Each lane features infrared sensors installed to track traffic conditions and transmit signals to the microcontroller, vastly boosting traffic flow control. Which lane is ideal for traffic flow is decided by the microcontroller based on the flow of traffic at that particular moment. In addition, the system has a surveillance camera and an ESP32 Cam module that allows it to track and record movement violations. Several components comprise the system: an ESP32 camera module, an OV2640 camera, an IR sensor module, an Atmega 2560, and an RF433MHz radio frequency module. It smoothly uses IoT to enable efficient data flow between components. Many software models were used in extensive testing, which yielded results that were consistent with predictions, confirming the prototype's effectiveness.
