A Comparison of IWO and PSO in Combinational Digital Circuit Automatic Evolution

Designing electronic circuits is a complex task that typically requires significant manual effort. However, there is a growing interest in developing automatic methods to streamline this process. This study emphasises the necessity of understanding a comprehensive set of domain-specific rules. This paper discusses the need for efficient design tools, such as the Invasive Weed Optimization (IWO) algorithm for the evolutionary design of multiple digital combinational circuits. This study compares optimized results and those obtained using IWO, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, and Human design techniques.
