IoT and AI-Driven Smart Power Management System for Optimizing Resource Usage in Smart Buildings: The Faculty of Engineering at the Hashemite University Case Study

This paper introduces an IoT and AI-Driven power management framework designed to optimize energy consumption and promote sustainability in smart buildings. The system integrates IoT technologies, smart metering, renewable solar energy, and the ThingWorx IoT platform to enable real-time monitoring, dynamic control, and efficient energy management. By leveraging both rule-based control algorithms and AI-driven forecasting, the proposed solution adaptively operates HVAC, lighting, and other energy-intensive processes in response to sensor data and predictive analytics. The proposed solution aims to enhance resource efficiency, reduce operational costs, and contribute to sustainable infrastructure development, providing a scalable model for energy optimization in institutional settings.
