3D Reconstruction Technology of Archaeological Site: Fusion Application of UAV Shooting and Image Processing

The purpose of this article is to discuss the fusion application of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) shooting and image processing in 3D reconstruction technology of archaeological site. With the help of combining UAV's highaltitude shooting ability and advanced image processing technology, the 3D reconstruction practice of an archaeological site was carried out. Methods: First, the UAV was used to take photos of the site from multiple angles and heights. Then, with the help of image processing technology, the distortion was removed and enhanced, and the feature points were extracted and matched to generate a preliminary 3D point cloud. The beam adjustment algorithm is used to optimize the point cloud position to ensure the geometric accuracy of the model, and then the texture information in the original image is mapped to the model. Finally, the model is refined to preserve the key details of the site. The results show that the 3D model of archaeological sites with high accuracy and authenticity has been successfully constructed by this method, which provides valuable digital resources for archaeological research. The integrated application of UAV shooting and image processing opens up a new way for 3D reconstruction of archaeological sites, which has a wide application prospect and important cultural value.
