Empowering Deaf Communication: "Deep Learning Framework for Sign to Speech Translation"

The proposed system serves a real-time Indian Sign Language-to-text and speech translator that bridges the communication barrier for those individuals who are unable to communicate verbally. The system will use an advanced Transformer architecture with attention mechanisms that can selectively focus on critical features of gesture like hand shapes, positions, and motions, especially in complex environments, enhancing accuracy in static and dynamic movement recognition. All this is further complemented by CNNs, LSTMs, ViTs, and Mediapipe, all strengthening the capabilities of the system. NLP provides high-accuracy multilingual translation. The system also facilitates pose normalization and joint rotation correction ensuring the system's high recognition accuracy is maintained considering all conditions, fostering communication accessibility, and inclusivity in real-world settings.
