IoT-based Smart Milk Safety System for Preventing Overheating and Burn Risks

This study introduces an advanced Smart Milk Safety System aimed at preventing milk from overheating and burning through continuous temperature monitoring and automated control mechanisms. Utilizing an ESP8266 microcontroller alongside a DS18B20 temperature sensor, the system consistently monitors the temperature of the milk and automatically deactivates the heating element once a specified temperature limit is reached. A buzzer alerts the user when the milk is ready, thereby reducing the need for constant oversight and minimizing the risk of boil-overs or scorching. This innovative system not only enhances kitchen safety and energy efficiency by averting unattended heating incidents but also helps in reducing milk wastage. By incorporating IoT technology, the system offers a dependable, automated solution designed for contemporary households, ensuring both convenience and accuracy in daily cooking tasks. Experimental results validate the system’s capability in maintaining optimal heating control, highlighting its potential as a valuable tool for smart kitchen automation.
