Temperature Field Simulation and Analysis of Oil-Free Vortex Air Compressor

To address the high precision requirements for the design and manufacturing of oil-free vortex air compressors, a numerical simulation analysis of the temperature field of oil-free vortex air compressors is conducted. Firstly, based on the geometric and operational parameters of the flow field domain of the oil-free vortex air compressor, a transient simulation numerical model of the thermal process is established using CFD software Pumplinx. Subsequently, dynamic distributions of internal flow field, pressure, temperature, and performance parameters such as flow rate are obtained through simulation calculations. Utilizing ANSYS Fluent with simulated temperature data from Pumplinx software, simulations and calculations are performed on forced convective heat transfer conditions in actual production. This provides a theoretical foundation for the design of process parameters for air-cooling. The research findings indicate the presence of an “inlet pressure boosting” effect within the suction chamber of the compressor. This study provides insights into pressure, temperature, and flow field distribution within the working chamber during the compression process of the air compressor. Moreover, this research holds significance as a reference for enhancing the process parameter design of air-cooling for oil-free scroll compressors.
