An Integrated Systems Architecture Design for Context-Aware Support

This paper presents the design and implementation of Contextbot, an integrated system architecture aimed at providing context-aware support in home care settings. Leveraging advancements in robotics, wearables, and smart home technologies, Contextbot integrates various components to capture and analyze contextual information related to activities of daily living (ADLs) and events of daily living (EDLs). The system integrates a care documentation solution / electronic health record (EHR) for seamless data transfer into the care process. To ensure practical relevance, the design is guided by predefined use cases, including vital signs monitoring and fall detection with subsequent assistance from a service robot. The architecture is modeled using the C4 model and Structurizr DSL, with the System Landscape Diagram serving as a high-level representation. Evaluation of the system focuses on technical feasibility and functionality, validating its potential for improving the efficiency and quality of home care assistance.
