Underwater Communication with the Use of Loop Magnetic Antennas

The results of studies of loop magnetic antennas for the organization of underwater wireless communication are presented. Antennas were modeled and made. Experimental studies were made. Estimations of the energy of underwater wireless communication links using loop magnetic antennas in fresh and sea water were carried out. It was shown the real signal attenuation in water from transmitting to receiving loop magnetic antenna reaches the value in -150 dB. The potential possibility of organizing a broadband underwater wireless communication channel with a length of 100 meters and more up to 300 m with the use of loop magnetic antennas is shown.
