A Scalable and Secure Cloud Solution for File Management with AWS and EC2

The service consists of hosting an AWS-based web page application utilizing EC2 instance services. The backend development is done in Java and set up on port 3001 as proprietary REST API using Spring Boot. There is also a provision of installation in order to perform certain specific tasks. Internal files are stored using a self-designed custom file management system, ‘AgiDB’, that utilizes. JSON format due to its simplicity and extensibility. Every admin has an assigned specific folder structure where they are able to update users, create new users, delete users, and view users' information. All users are assigned specific roles, which allows management of user authentication at the admin user, and general user levels. Certain dashboards are shown based on the user’s role by correlating roles and data contained within the ‘userAuthenticator’ directory. Administers have the right to add users, follow or remove users, while normal users have the rights to add, erase, and download files from their folders. The application in the interface ensures that a mobile-friendly layout is maintained through building the frontend on ReactJS. It addresses file management in such a way that the files are synchronized over the cloud hosted on AWS to any device, enhancing ease of management.
