EfficientDet-Based IoT System for Wildlife Monitoring Using LoRa and Raspberry Pi

This paper introduces an innovative animal detection and tracking system using LoRa technology, Raspberry Pi, and machine learning to enhance wildlife monitoring. Using the NEO-6M GPS module and the EfficientDet deep learning model, this system ensures high accuracy in animal detection and classification along with real-time tracking without consuming much power. With LoRa, long-range, low-power data transmission over vast areas can be achieved, eliminating the limitations of monitoring wildlife in remote environments.
