Design and Analysis of Compact Wideband Meandered Line Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) with Angular Stability

In this study, a simply size-reduced Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) with band-pass behavior at 2.4 GHz is demonstrated. The four diagonal sides of the meandering line arm are connected in the middle to creates this evolved FSS. More bending in meandered line arms allows for extensive patch adjustment, which results in a wider bandwidth and lower resonance. A single cell with an overall size of 10 × 10 mm² makes up this suggested FSS. The proposed FSS featured a center resonance frequency of 2.4 GHz and a bandwidth of 1.5 GHz. The Transverse Electric (TE) and Transverse Magnetic (TM) modes of this FSS are identical each having a similar constant angular feature due to its independent polarization behavior.
