A Broadband SIW-based Hybrid Coupler for E-band Application

The design of a millimeter wave (mm-wave) hybrid coupler utilizing substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) technique is presented in this research paper. This technique provides components that are appropriate for mm-wave applications. The proposed hybrid coupler design attains a broader bandwidth from 72 GHz to 85 GHz with ±1 dB amplitude imbalance and ± 2⁰ phase imbalance. Further, the proposed coupler attains greater than 17 dB isolation in the aforementioned bandwidth.
