Optimisation of Transmission Tower Sensor Arrangement Based on Fisher Information Matrix-Effective Independence Approach

The transmission tower sensor arrangement scheme plays a very crucial role in aspects such as transmission tower monitoring efficiency and monitoring accuracy. However, traditional sensor arrangement methods often rely on experience and lack scientific and systematic nature. On this basis, this paper proposes a sensor arrangement optimization method based on Fisher Information Matrix-Effective Independence Method (FIM-EI). With the objective of maximizing the Fisher information matrix determinant of monitoring data, the method fully considers the effective independence between sensors and the redundancy of monitoring information to achieve the optimization of sensor arrangement. Firstly, the Fisher information matrix of the transmission tower monitoring system is constructed to describe the relationship between the sensor arrangement and the monitoring performance; secondly, the sensors contributing more to the monitoring performance are filtered by the effective independence method, which reduces the redundancy of the sensor arrangement; and a sensor arrangement scheme that guarantees the monitoring performance and reduces the cost is obtained. This study provides a new idea of sensor arrangement optimization in the field of transmission tower monitoring, which has certain theoretical value and practical application prospect.
